Live a Broken Life

Updated: Dec 8, 2025

When I say that, I don’t mean a depressed life or a distraught life or even an anxious life. I mean a life broken of arrogance and self-righteousness. Humbleness is one of the greatest freedoms a person can have. If you wish for a burden free life, then live your life in the absence of vanity.

Arrogance and self-righteousness are traits of the devil. Humbleness is how Christ walked when He was here with us. Let the Holy Spirit cleanse you of any pride or conceit. Treat others as better than yourself.

No one knows just how much of a sinner I am better than I do. So why should I walk this world as if I’m something special. The only specialness I have comes from the love of God for me. If I begin to brag, somebody please tell me to shut up! I don’t want to act like the devil. I want to live like Christ. No better example was ever set than His. Liberty comes to the one who learns this and lives it.

Our lives should be spent in reverence not in boasting. The mouth is a disaster waiting to explode on our spouse, our neighbor, our co-worker, and our children. Leave moral superiority behind you and walk in the grace and love of Christ. You will be free from the chains in which the devil wishes to hold you in bondage.

There is joy and peace in humility!

Matthew 11:29 (ESV) “Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
